Department introduction
Technology Department(New Energy Research Sub-institute),as the sci-tech administration of the Institute,undertakes environmental protection assessment of thermal power plants and associated sci-tech research and developmnet. It is responsible for application and technical demostration of sic-tech projects, executive schedule management of sci-tech projects, project acceptance and completion managemnet, and administration of the Editorial Office of Electric Power Technology and Environmental Protection.
Environmental protection assessment of thermal power plants was a new move initiated by the Corporation according to today's actual environemntal protection work as well as an important mechanism innovation of environmental protection supervision management.We have the advantages of earliest beginning, much more experience and sound assessment system, as compared with other enterprises engaged in the same service.In addition, we have finished preparation of a standard of electric power sector named Operation Evaluation Technical Regulation of Environmental Protection Equipment for Coal-fired Power Plants DL/T362-2010 which provides basis for environmental facility assessment in electric pwoer sector.
The former Engineering Consultation Sub-institute, predecessor of Technology Department, doing research on flue gas purification, was the earliest unit who took up systematically research on flue gas purification of thermal power plants. Its research covers all fields of pollution control in thermal power plants including control technology of SO2, NOx and dust, CO2 capture and sequestration technology, Hg emission reduction technology, recycling and reclamation of waste water, flue gas and slags. It undertook successively a few of national key sci-tech research projects from "863", "973", Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Ministry of Environmental Protection of China and China Guodian Corporation. The Technology Department have been invlolved in relevant technical standards and regulations preparation organized by Ministry of Environmental Protection of China and National Development and Reform Commission. Nowadays, it takes on three projects from "863", one commonweal project from Ministry of Science and Technology of China and one project from China Guodian Corporation.
